FLOW SWITCHES

Series V4 Flotect® Vane Operated Flow Switch - provides dependable protection against flow variation or stopping in pipelines for fluids, gases and flowing solids. Supplied with custom or universal multilayer vanes for field installation in pipes from 1-1/2" to 20".  Designed to meet NEMA 4 watertight construction.  Compact and reliable, this switch is installed in thousands of pipelines and processing plants around the world.  Field adjustable and leak proof body.  Protects motors, pumps and other equipment against low flow and no flow.  Controls sequential operation of pumps, etc.  Automatically starts auxiliary pumps and engines or actuates alarm and signal systems.  Stops water cooled engines, machines and processes when coolant flow is interrupted.  Shuts down burner when air flow through heating coil fails.  Controls dampers according to flow.  Stops machines if cooling oil flow ceases.

Series V6 Flotect® Mini-Size Flow Switches - are surprisingly compact and engineered specifically to monitor liquid, gas or air flows in pipelines. Provides proof of flow or no flow in pipes from 1/2" to 2" diameter.  With bushings added, it is easily adapted to 1/4" and 3/8" piping.  It is solidly built and designed for years of trouble-free service on critical operations.  The brass and stainless steel bar stock lower body is leak proof, preventing the pipeline product from entering switch housing above.  There is no mechanical linkage - the flow switch is magnetically actuated and explosion-proof.  For pressures to 2000 psig, to 200°F maximum.  Used for a wide range of applications, including chemical processing, air conditioning, refrigeration, boilers, heating processes, cooling lines, compressors, machinery, liquid transfer, water treatment, sprinkler systems, fuel oil pumps, lube oil lines, food processing and  blending operations.

Series V8 Flotect® Vane Operated Flow Switches - protects equipment with an operation that is simple and dependable.  In most applications, the switch is normally off while there is sufficient flow of liquid or air.  When flow stops, the vane spring moves the vane, actuating a single pole double throw switch rated at 5A 120/250 VAC to start or stop a motor, pump, engine, etc.  Operate a damper or valve; shut down a burner or actuate an alarm or signal, protecting unattended equipment from damage or loss of production.  Field adjustable, 1" to 6" pipe.  Leak proof body.  Applications are chemical processing, air conditioning, refrigeration, heating systems, cooling lines, machinery, liquid transfer systems, water treatment, food processing, and machine tools.

Series V10 Flotect® Mini-Size Flow Switch - is designed to provide an inexpensive, reliable unit to monitor the presence or absence of flow in a system.  Monitors unattended equipment and protects it from costly damage.  Proof of flow or no flow in 1/2" to 2" pipe.  Low cost reliability.  Utilizes a rugged, hermetically sealed reed switch which is encapsulated in a polypropylene switch housing that fits into a standard heavy duty leak proof brass body or optional 303 Stainless Steel body.  The patented switch adjustment allows the user to change the switch to Normally Open (NO) or Normally Closed (NC) in the field merely by loosening two screws.

Series FS Flowmeter with Flow Limit Switch - offers visual flow rate indication and an adjustable flow alarm to open or close AC electrical circuits, trigger warning lights, or activate other process control equipment.  Spring-retained moveable piston design allows installation in any position.  Applications include monitoring flow in chemical processing, waste water processing, process control, lubrication systems, solar systems, drain lines, and pump testing.
