NEEDLE VALVES

Recommended where control or metering of steam, air, gas, oil, water or other non-viscous liquids is required.  This is a small, compact, yet rugged needle valve.

Model 78 Heavy Duty Needle Valve - This valve has been designed with an extra heavy bronze body for rough service in air and water lines.  It features a Teflon seat and needle stem for throttling and shut off service.  It is commonly used in mine and quarry applications on water lines to rock drills ("water-liners") where water flows through the hollow bit to saturate pulverized drillings.  A bronze tee handle can be left in the flat position to reduce breakage by vehicles.
